Can I make art, can I make comics, can I make music, can I make games like Lamborghini builds cars? Defining, not only a luxury brand, but a brand known for exceptional style and quality? Products and style that does not care to be accessible to the average consumer. Perhaps, but a lot of the power in these ultra luxury / ultra style brands comes from pricing. And the pricing is from quality of materials. For digital goods, it is hard to vary much in pricing. Also, the consumer for comics, music, games has a price point that it is used to. How does one compensate for lower volume of sales, when prices are fixed? In manga for instance, Nagano's Five Star Stories in terms of character design and mecha design is very sophisticated, but his manga are pretty much the same in terms of price as any other. Perhaps, his toy kits are more expensive? So perhaps the way to monetize extraordinary design and style is through other products?
